
A shrimp doesn’t have red blood. It never did.
Our blood is red because it runs on iron. A shrimp runs on copper — a protein called haemocyanin — which turns faintly blue with oxygen, and clear without it. Never red.
So that pale, clean, delicate pink isn’t washed out or missing anything.
It’s simply an animal that was never built around red blood in the first place.
