A Colour You Can’t Fake

A shrimp can’t make its own colour. Not a single molecule of it. That soft, natural pink comes entirely from diet — from the plankton and tiny crustaceans it eats in the cold Atlantic, rich in a natural pigment called astaxanthin. No diet, no colour.

The pink on your plate isn’t decoration. It’s a record of a wild life in cold water.

Which makes the colour something rare: a detail that can’t be faked, only earned.

Hand-peeled, wild-caught Nordic shrimp.
